These images were taken in and around an area called Snake Hill, situated between Forest Town and Clipstone in Sherwood Forest ( Sciryuda ), North Nottinghamshire.  Three cascading ponds fed by a spring on the hillside known locally as the Spa Ponds once formed the outskirts of Clipstone Park, visited by seven English Kings. 
Notwithstanding its history and nearby urban developments, this is still a place for waking, quiet contemplation and peace.  These locations are more than just places.
Sometimes, there's a way through . . . . .
