The River Trent: The images in this grid below form a selection of images taken in and around the Church Laneham area in Nottinghamshire. Included are some images of the nearby villages of Cottam and Torksey the latter being on the opposite bank and thus situated in Lincolnshire. Torksey is an ancient port. Cottam is a small village with a Saxon churge and a massive power station which closed in 2019 and is currently in the process of being demolished and the land upon which is was situated reclaimed.
